The garden of (19)

The Botanical Park of in is opened with the public since the summer 1993. The plantations however began as of end of the year 70.

It is a botanical garden located at nearly of altitude. The dry summers and the hard winters, a rock and acid ground dictated the choice of the plants which can acclimatize itself to the conditions of medium mountains.

It forwards vegetable collections originating in the two hemispheres: more than 800 plants indexed out of approximately 2 hectares. The distribution of the plantations in the garden was made by solid masses representing all the climatic and phytogeographical areas moderate areas.

The vegetable biodiversity is forwarded there in the multiplicity of its aspects: Siberia, meadows of Mongolia and Russia, Europe, China and Japan, Mountains of Central Asia, Canada, meadows of the United States, America of the North-West and the North-East, Rocky Mountains, Mountains of the Mediterranean and California, , South Africa, Australia of the south, New Zealand… as well as examples of mediums as various as the deserts of cactus or the jungles of bamboos…

Names as evocative as of the Love, wood of peace pipe, clusters red, bush fitchet, currant bush with bisons, shrub with the spray, #FFC9E2 tree of the Indians, shaft to the bits, despair of the monkeys, of the south, Cypress bald person, shaft with pheasants, palm tree porcupine, #FFE4FD of make dream of wild nature with the forms and the colors if varied.

It was also preserved thickets of local, existing vegetation before the creation of the botanical garden, quite typical of the landscapes : chestnut grove, wood of Birches, heath, pine forest.

The inspection is done while following a natural and discovered course approximately of footpath to effortlessly practicable hillside which is thus a true round the world tour of the plants and flowers.

Two slide presentations are proposed at the end of the inspection:

• four seasons slide presentation: plants in the course of the years
• forwarding slide presentation of the photographs of the plants and flowers in their medium of origin.

The Botanical Park proposes rustic cacti frost-resistant, alpine succulent plants and the jams house made starting from the fruits and flowers of the garden to you.
