The of Saint-Ay, a garden of the gardens
de Saint-Ay in Area Center is organized around the layout of an arm of the Mallows, a river coming from and throwing themselves in the Loire.
This garden dedicated to the biodiversity gathers more than 1000 different plant species including 200 indigenous species.
Its inspection is articulated around figure 5: 5 ecological gardens, 5 gardens sets of themes, 5 sites of éco-fauna, 5 alleys harmonic and 5 lyric bridges. True garden of gardens, is managed within a framework of sustainable development. Here, the management techniques reasoned join specific cultivation methods: 0 pesticides, organic manures, contribution of ashes against the slugs, recovery of rainwater, mow spared for the respect of balances…
is of this fact an exceptional support of sensitizing both for the private individuals the institutions.

The Gardens sets of themes of de Saint-Ay are gardens of presentation of the plants used by the Man. Each garden is organized in 5 squares or 5 spaces.
Among spaces suggested the visitor discovers a garden with the conventional Frenchwoman gathering nearly 500 different plants used by the man laid out in 5 squares (square of health, square of the beauty, square of better being, square magic spells and square of fibers and colors).
Concurrently to this garden, also extends the Garden from Savors with its rare and forgotten vegetables, its aromatics and condiments, its vegetables of the markets, the square of cereals and its Square of vegetables and flowers of the “New kitchen”.
Further, the Garden of Temptations is organized around an orchard which counts forty varieties of the apple trees, about thirty pear trees, various fruit trees (medlar tree, quince tree, walnut tree,…) and of a large variety of #D05C75 fruits.
In addition to these “civilized” gardens, also contains 5 Ecologiques gardens (meadows of mints, Frênaie to the orchises, Bord of water in , the Meadow of the Burnets, the Field of the Cornflowers and the Poppies) and 5 sites of observation of éco-fauna (Meadow of the Butterflies, the Island with the Birds, the Bank with the Amphibians, the island with the Bees, the Cave of the Bats.
