The or (junction of the , family of ) is a large worker, he plays a fundamental role in the biology of our ground.
It digs galleries in the ground and thus takes part in its ventilation and its drainage. These small tunnels facilitate the installation of the roots of our plants and their water supply.
While moving upwards and top to bottom, it can go down up to two meters of depth, the earthworm mixes the ground. You will also notice that the galleries concentrate in the layer of mould.
Its digestive system is rich of a bacterial fauna which enriches the ground and agglomerates the elements of the ground. The result of its digestion is the twist which one observes on the surface of the ground. It takes part in the neutralization of the ground. It moves the equivalent of its weight per day.
To finish, by introducing micro-organisms and by rejecting them further, it takes part in their dissemination.
Thus preserve these small beasts often badly loved and which however are essential allies of the good gardener. It is besides a good indicator of the wealth of your ground.
When you turn over your ground, prefer fork-digs it with the spade which cuts up our boyfriends.
