Operative paragraphs of purging

A question of Eric of Alsace (the High Rhine):

I wish to carry out an automatic watering for my lawn. Living in an area where it can freeze extremely in winter, I would wish to know which are the operative paragraphs with set up to purge the installation before the winter.

Purge brass

There are two solutions:

  1. You install small parts which are called “automatic purgings brass” on your lines.

Favors: that functions all alone, he does not have nothing there to make, the pipes are drained without your intervention

Disadvantage: that drains the line after each watering.

  2. With a light slope in your , you create “low points”. At these places where the line is lower than the remainder of the installation, you pose a small derivation on the pipe and put a stopper (or a manual valve). You bury this derivation in low point in a small glance.
Before the winter, you open the stoppers at various places and the pipes are emptied.

Favors: only one oil change a year.

Disadvantage: that obliges with a manual intervention before the winter (to open the glances, to open the stoppers, to let water run out, to close again the stoppers…) and there are often several small glances buried in the garden

These two systems drain water AFTER the electromagnetic sluice gates.

Think of also reviewing oil change between the main water supply (counter, pump…) and the departure of all the installation (electromagnetic sluice gates in a great glance), BEFORE the electromagnetic sluice gates.
