Our lunar time-table

This lunar time-table takes account of the real site of the constellations such as they are currently defined, and not of the 12 astrological signs referring to tape .

If the astrologers consider that there exist 12 constellations known as , each one of 30°, crossed regularly by the Sun, the visible Moon and planets by the naked eye, reality is very different.

The Zodiac (of the Greek , of , living being) is a tape arbitrarily drawn as of the Antiquity which extends on approximately 8,5° from latitude on both sides from the ecliptic (the plan of the terrestrial orbit around the Sun). This tape roughly contains the apparent trajectories of all the known mobile stars (Sun, the Moon, Mercure, Mars, Jupiter and Saturne) by the astronomers of old civilizations. The Zodiac is divided as of Antiquity into twelve signs, which extend each one on 30° of longitude: the twelve signs of the zodiac, bearing the names of the constellations with which they coincided approximately 2.000 years ago.

Indeed at the time, the passage of the Sun by the vernal point (vernal equinox) coincided with its input in the sign which understood the constellation of the Ram. But in consequence of the phenomenon of precession of the equinoxes, the retrograde vernal point on the ecliptic of approximately 0, 012 966° a year, is of 1° every 71,6 years, 30° every 2.150 years and 360° every 42 870 years.

Nowadays, with the vernal equinox (March 21st), the Sun exceeded the medium of the constellation of Poisson while the astrologer always places the starting point in the Ram: there thus exists a shift of approximately a constellation (sometimes more) between the signs of the zodiac and the corresponding constellations. Thus, for an astrologer, a person born on October 24th, nown as was born under the sign from the Scorpion, whereas actually this day there the Sun is still in the constellation of the Virgin until October 31st, date of input in the constellation of the Balance. And it is only on November 23rd that the Sun will approach really the constellation of the Scorpion.

The lunar time-tables based on the astrological zodiac forward a shift of the same command, and do not take account of the real position of the Moon among the constellations.
