The endive of Brussels is very often destined for twists endive. It was obtained by a Belgian farmer who selected endives for the coffee. It can be consumed raw out of salad or annealed out of vegetable.

Sow endive in lines spaced of about thirty centimetres from April at June. Clear up to 10 cm your S/N one month later and mend the young seedlings removed in another row. Maintain your rows by a hoeing and a regular watering. Do not let the compete with your plants.

Tear off your endives in October and cut the leaves to 3-4 cm of the basis of the root and limit the roots to about fifteen centimetres. Let dry the roots safe from the rain during one week.

Bleaching in place
The bleaching of endives in place can be done under tunnel or in a frame while placing roots units and recovering the whole of a light mould.

Collect your endives when they reach 15 cm progressively your needs.
