Comment of (the Loire):Hello! If your worm is well the walnut tree, a very simple means to control the population of it is mid-June to pose a tape of corrugated cardboard around the trunk (the caterpillars then seek a hiding-place for ). To remove the hard-bound tape at the end of 3 week and to burn it. To start again L \ 'operation every 3 weeks \ 'with mid-September by security, as there are in general 2 to 3 generations of a year.

I planted two to embed variety and they were put at fruits the second year after the plantation. The size with the plantation was scaffold-poles. On the other hand the nuts are attacked by worms and fall then the last year prematurely. It has been 8 years that they are planted. Can one do something against these worms or these flies? Thank you. Jean
